HOW TO REFER YOUR SERVICE USER

We welcome referrals from many diverse organisations including local authorities, charities and community groups. If you would like to make a referral please follow the procedure below.

ONE

Contact us for a referral document or download here. This should be completed with the service user and sent to us together with a risk assessment and full needs assessment.

TWO

We will process the application. If there are vacancies and the service user meets the eligibility criteria (see below), then an interview will be arranged. 

THREE

The service user should attend the interview and bring along two forms of original ID.

FOUR

Subject to there being a vacancy, they will be offered a room. If no room is available then they will be placed on a waiting list for up to three months.

SERVICE USER ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA


  • Single people aged 18+ years
  • People who have previously failed in independent living or have lived an unsettled lifestyle
  • Single homeless people or rough sleepers
  • People who required supported housing and have low support needs
  • Priority will be given to people living in the Salford area or with a Salford connection
  • People with alcohol problems or people with an alcohol related issues
  • People with mental health issues on current medication and/ or with the support of the mental health services
  • People recovering from substance misuse (evidence of current treatment will be required)
  • Refugees
  • EXCLUSIONS
  • Schedule one offenders
  • Arsonists
  • Current substance users
  • Previously been evicted for violence
  • Clients with high support needs
  • Person's of a high risk of offending
  • People subject to an anti-social behaviour order
